Cookies & Storage

The short version

MiUniverse uses only essential browser storage — the things needed to keep you signed in, keep your account secure, and remember simple preferences. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not run behavioural analytics or cross-site tracking.

Because nothing we store is used for advertising or behavioural tracking, MiUniverse does not show a cookie consent banner. If that ever changes, we will ask for your consent first and update this page.

What we store on your device

• Sign-in session (localStorage): your authentication session so you stay signed in between visits, and are not asked to log in on every page.
• Security and sign-in flow (sessionStorage): short-lived values used while you sign in, accept an invite or reset a password. These are cleared when you close the tab.
• Preferences (localStorage): the orbit you last opened, your Universe Map arrangement, whether you have seen a one-off hint or intro card, and small "already seen" flags so the app does not repeat itself.

These values live in your browser's localStorage and sessionStorage rather than in tracking cookies. They are not shared with advertisers and are not used to profile you.

Third parties

Our hosting, database and email providers (described in the privacy policy) may set strictly necessary cookies to route requests and protect the service from abuse. If you sign in with Google, Apple or Microsoft, that provider handles its own sign-in cookies on its own domain, under its own policy.

Clearing this data

Signing out of MiUniverse clears your session. You can also clear everything using your browser:

• iOS Safari: Settings → Safari → Advanced → Website Data → remove miuniverse.space.
• Android Chrome: Chrome → ⋮ → Settings → Privacy and security → Clear browsing data → Cookies and site data.
• Desktop browsers: open site settings for miuniverse.space (usually via the padlock in the address bar) and choose to clear cookies and site data.

Clearing this data signs you out and resets preferences such as your Universe Map arrangement. It does not delete your account or the memories saved in your orbits — for that, see account deletion.
